This edition of Maverick Playing Cards will delight all card enthusiasts and collectors. After all, it dates back to the very beginning of this millennium!
Maverick Playing Cards were created based on the popularity of the TV show of the same name, in which the main character was the seasoned gambler Bret Maverick. You may know him, for example, from the more recent movie starring Mel Gibson.
In 2001, the parent company of the Maverick brand, Hoyle Products, was acquired by the well-known United States Playing Card Company. Almost immediately, the company moved the production of Maverick cards to Asia.
This edition of Maverick Playing Cards is the last batch that was printed in Cincinnati before the aforementioned move to Asia.

Note: The decks do not come in cellophane.
