One of the grandmasters of card magic, Arturo de Ascanio, is one of the most influential magicians in history. Alongside Juan Tamariz, he helped form a unique school of card magic that influenced the greats of Gabi Pareras and Dani DaOrtiz.
His works on magic theory, compiled in The Structural Conceptions of Magic book, should be read and studied by any serious magician.
He developed and created countless card magic routines and techniques, with the Ascanio Spread being one of the most prominent. He is also known for his work on the Color Changing Knives routine.
