American artist Shepard Fairey has made his first significant foray into the card community with the Rebels Playing Cards deck released in partnership with theory11. Now, in 2024, twelve years since the release of Rebels, he is introducing new cards released under his iconic Obey brand.

Through Obey, Fairey publishes graphically distinctive works that draw on propaganda pieces. However, these are critiqued, and Obey is a symbol of rebellion, which also serves as a critique and reflection of modern society.

Obey Playing Cards use Fairey's signature style: distinctive faces, backs, and meticulously crafted boxes.

Obey Playing Cards are currently available in two editions. The Red Edition carries a sleeker, more refined design. The Collage Edition features a distinctive back design typical of Fairey's work. Both editions have the same faces.
