BUTTERFLY WONDERCON 2026 - OCTOBER 9-11, 2026

Our magic convention is coming back to Prague, Czech Republic, in 2026. There will be lectures, shows, and even a magic competition! We're also adding intensive magic workshops for those who really want to work on their craft and skills.

We will be hosted at VNITROBLOCK, a modern space in Prague-Holešovice, just a 5-minute walk from our brick-and-mortar store, Butterfly Wonderland.

The convention is limited to 100 attendees.

Lecturers

Roberto Giobbi

Roberto Giobbi is one of the most acclaimed authors of magic books. His Card College series received multiple awards, and his work on magic theory helped thousands of magicians develop and master their skills.

Many might not know that Roberto finished second at the FISM World Championships in 1988 and 1991 in the Card Magic category, behind only the greats Jose Carroll and Lennart Green.

Mario López

Mario López is a fantastic magician who’s made the role of a clown his own. The magic seems to just happen to him, and it’s always wonderful to watch Mario on stage.

He’s great with cards, coins, cigarettes, sponge balls, and even his own body. If you’ve not seen his Fool Us performance, watch it now.

Víctor Piña

Víctor Piña is an amazing magician. Since he’s Spanish, it’s kind of given. He’s fantastic with cards, mainly his own, and his linking rings routine is a masterpiece. You can learn everything about it in his workshop.

Víctor is a deep thinker who likes to explore new ways to elevate his magic.

Ondřej Pšenička

He’s the founder of Butterfly Magic Store and the creator of Butterfly Playing Cards. Butterfly Playing Cards were first released in 2017, and they quickly became a staple among marked cards.

Their ingenious marking system helped establish Ondrej as one of the main authorities on marked playing cards.

A fifth lecturer, to be revealed later. For now, we'll call them the Mystery Magician.

Magic Workshops

In addition to the convention's programme, we will host three intimate magic workshops for just 12 attendees.

The workshops are additional events with separate tickets. We have adjusted the convention's schedule so that the workshop attendees won't miss any main events.

Ondrej & Giobbi: Fool Us

Inspired by Ondrej’s success on Penn & Teller: Fool Us, we decided to do our own small version of this popular magic competition. This time, Ondrej Psenicka and Roberto Giobbi will be the judges.

This competition is open to all attendees of Butterfly Wondercon 2026. It consists of an online qualification round and an in-person finale, which will take place on the second day of Butterfly Wondercon 2026 (October 10, 2026).

Qualification

As with the original show, the qualification round is online. Film your act, upload it to a cloud service (e.g., Dropbox, Google Drive), and submit your application via this form.

The act must be under 5 minutes. If the act exceeds that length, it will be automatically disqualified. This applies to the finale, too.

Your act, if spoken, has to be in English.

The video doesn’t have to have the absolute best sound and visuals; we just have to clearly hear and see you.

The qualification round ends on July 31, 2026.

Finale

After we review all the entries, we will select the top eight to participate in an in-person finale at Butterfly Wondercon 2026. This time, they will perform their routine in front of Ondrej and Roberto.

Refund Policy

Cancel before July 31, 2026

• Full refunds will be issued for cancellations made before the end of July.

Cancel between August 1 and August 31, 2026

• Cancelations made in August will receive a 50% refund.

Cancel on or after September 1, 2026

• No refunds will be issued for cancellations made on or after September 1, 2026.

Note: No additional discounts can be applied to the Butterfly Wondercon 2026 registration.
