I'm sure we've all had a few odd socks left over after doing laundry. Michel Huot has created and built his magic trick SOCKS around this completely unexplained phenomenon.

There are two piles of cards on the table. You begin to turn over the cards from both piles in front of the audience. The cards show different colored socks that do not form pairs.

The spectator stops you as you turn the cards. You turn over the selected cards - one has a purple sock with white stars on it, and the other shows a yellow and green striped sock. Even though the socks don't match, the unsuspecting spectator still gets it right.

You show that these are the same socks you are wearing right now. But that's not all!

You start turning over the sock cards again, but the socks form perfect pairs!
