Butterfly Wondercon 2025

The first magic convention organized by Butterfly Magic Store!

What is it?

We are so excited to finally announce Butterfly Wondercon 2025. This is our first magic convention, and we invite you to join us for the experience.

We aim to make this a unique convention, with magicians talking about topics they usually don't discuss anywhere else. You can look forward to thought-provoking lectures that will get your gears going.

Who will be there?

You! But we know you’re interested in the lecturers. Here they are!

Ondřej Pšenička

He’s the founder of Butterfly Magic Store and the creator of Butterfly Playing Cards. He fooled Penn and Teller three times on their TV show and became Penn's best friend. If you haven't already, watch his third performance. He’s known for his unique approach to magic, combining powerful effects with storytelling and acting.

Tobias Dostal

He’s one of the most popular and distinctive magic creators. His creations are visually stunning and mind-blowing, always standing out. He can make a trick with candy look and feel like pure magic, and can turn shadow play into a touching performance. He can melt objects on the go, like he can melt the brains of his spectators.

Juliana Chen

A living legend in the world of magic. She is the first female magician to be awarded first place at the FISM World Championships of Magic (Manipulation, Dresden 1997). She is a master of stage magic, and her shows are a work of art. She outshines most with her stage presence, fluid movement, and effortless choreography.

Moritz Mueller

An extremely talented close-up magician from Germany. He took the magic scene by storm at the age of 15 with his first coin magic release. His smooth skills with coins make his spectators think that real magic truly exists. Oh, and he’s fantastic with cards as well.

Dates and Tickets

Butterfly Wondercon 2025 will take place in Prague, Czech Republic, from October 17 to October 19.

Early Bird tickets are 99 EUR without VAT, which is 20% less than the price of Regular tickets. These discounted tickets will be available until July 31. After that, Regular tickets will go on sale.

Regular tickets are 125 EUR without VAT.

Location

Butterfly Wondercon will take you to the center of the beautiful city of Prague, Czech Republic.

The main events will take place at Divadlo Metro on Národní třída. The programme will move to Městská knihovna on Saturday afternoon, which is roughly a ten-minute walk from Divadlo Metro. We also plan to have a separate space to jam and share ideas after the main programme is over on Friday and Saturday.

The convention will end on Sunday, October 19, with “A Trip to Wonderland”. This will be a friendly session at our brick-and-mortar store in Holešovice, Prague.

Friday, October 17

• 14:00 - 15:15 - The official opening of the convention + Lecture: Ondrej Psenicka.
• 15:15 - 15:45 - Break.
• 15:45 - 16:45 - Lecture: Juliana Chen.
• 16:45 - 19:00 - Dinner break.
• 19:00 - 21:00 - Golden Chrysanthemum Fragrance Magic Show (Chinese Gold Medal-winning Magicians)
• 21:30 - 2:00 - Jam session.

Saturday, October 18

• 10:00 - 11:00 - Lecture: Moritz Mueller.
• 11:00 - 11:30 - Break.
• 11:30 - 13:00 - Panel discussion with Ondrej, Tobias, Juliana, and Moritz.
• 13:00 - 14:30 - Lunch break.
• 14:30 - 15:30 - Lecture: Tobias Dostal.
• 15:30 - 17:00 - Break and move from Divadlo Metro to Městská knihovna.
• 17:00 - 18:15 - Ondrej Psenicka's 52 Lovers Magic Show.
• 18:15 - 20:00 - Dinner break.
• 20:00 - 21:00 - Close-up Gala Magic Show (with special guest!)
• 21:30 - 2:00 - Jam Session.

Sunday, October 19

• 11:00 - 15:00 - "A Trip to Wonderland". A friendly session in our brick-and-mortar store, Butterfly Wonderland.

Refund Policy

Full refunds will be issued to any cancellations made before the end of August.

Cancelations made in September will receive a 50% refund.

No refunds will be issued for cancellations made in October.
