You show two sticks with strings and tassels. You pull the string of one stick, and the string in the other wand starts to move with it. The spectator thinks the sticks are connected, so you pull them apart a little. But the strings are still "intertwined".
That doesn't change even if you take each one in a different hand. One string always moves with the first!
Chinese Sticks is a simple magic trick that beginner magicians and children alike can perform. Its great advantage is that you can perform it for multiple spectators at once.
