The deck features a customized version of our trademarked edge-marking system, taken from Butterfly Playing Cards.

You can deduce the suits and values of every card by slightly beveling the deck to the side. Then the markings appear. 

There are thirteen rows of markings, one for each value. They run from Ace through King, from top to bottom. 

To make them easier to read, they are grouped as follows:

- Ace
- Two / Three / Four
- Five / Six / Seven
- Eight / Nine / Ten
- Jack / Queen / King

The multiples of three are in the middle of each group to help you quickly orient yourself in the system.

The marks for values also tell you the suits. Here is how it works:

- Clubs - Thin line.
- Spades - Two lines - thicker on the bottom and thinner on the top.
- Hearts - Two lines - thicker on the top and thinner on the bottom.
- Diamonds - Thick line.

There is also a marking system on one short edge.
